Buying or selling a house is one of the most complex financial transactions most people will ever do. The whole process can feel expensive and intimidating, especially if you don’t have a good real estate agent. My goal here at DiscountAgent.com is to make things run as smoothly as possible for my client. That’s a huge part of the reason I offer Utah real estate commission rebates. Most of my clients get around $4,500 back (or get to keep that much of the sale price). What could you do with $4,500?
Some people worry that a real estate commission rebate is a little shady, legally-speaking. Or maybe it’s taxable? Relax! Rebates are perfectly legal. And the IRS counts them as a discount and doesn’t tax real estate rebates. Sweet! (There are a couple of exceptions here, so please consult your tax professional.)
The last concern people have is that offering real estate commission rebates means you get sub-par service.
