The Sugar House Community Council describes the Sugar House boundaries as follows.
The northern border is 1700 S until you reach 1300 E. At 1300 E, the boundary heads north until it reaches 1300 S. 1300 S becomes the northern boundary, ending at 700 E on the corner of Herman Franks Park kitty corner from Liberty Park. Liberty Park is also amazing, but it's not in Sugar House, so we'll ignore it now.
700 E is the west border until 2100 S, when 500 E becomes the western border. Here's where it gets a little wonky. 500 East is the western border, which wraps around Nibley Golf Course and zig-zags its way around Brickyard and Tanner Park on the south side, which most residents associate with Millcreek all the way east to Foothill Drive(approximately 2800 E).

Why is it called Sugar House Salt Lake City?
Sugar House, Salt Lake City, was named due to the sugar beets planted by early pioneer settlers in the area, which had ideal soil for cultivating the sweet crop.
Even today, Sugar House remains distinct from other neighborhoods in the city.
What is the history of Sugar House in Salt Lake City?
Early Mormon settlers built a mill in downtown Sugar House to house the machinery used to produce sugar from sugar beets. Unfortunately, the process failed, and Brigham Young ordered the mill shut down in the summer of 1855.
